Reporting to the District Finance Officer, the aim of the role is to ensure that staff and supplies are transported to and from assigned destinations safely with proper daily checks on vehicles.

Location: Bubi, Nkayi, Tsholotsho

An entry level qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement or equivalent is an added advantage

At least four years’ experience in a similar post within an NGO environment

Clean Class 4 driver’s License plus valid defensive driving certificate

Good communication skills in written and spoken English are essential

Flexibility and calm, whilst working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities.

Transport the staff, authorized passengers, goods and commodities to and from assigned destinations safely always and record and file supporting documentation

Properly log in all trips and following all laid down guidelines in accordance with the transport policy

Clean cars / vehicles before / after travelling

Deliver and collect mail from the Post office, or any other location accordingly

Ensure all vehicles are refueled on time per vehicle policy guidelines

Communicate any fault on the vehicle immediately to the Mechanic via a maintenance request form

Receiving, recording, issuing of stock, and reporting thereof

Follow up and ensuring that all procured supplies, works and services are delivered

Prepare and submit vendor payment documentation to the procurement personnel at the country or field office

Submit periodical updates and incident reports to the Logistics Coordinator

Ensure security and safety of Bantwana Zimbabwe vehicles and all other BZ assets and inventory

As and when necessary, load and off load goods / commodities

Ensure compliance with the vehicle policies

Assist field programme staff in financial, logistics and administration duties

Ensure compliance with the HR manual and any related policies including the Code of Conduct

Commit to adhere to and respect the compliance policies including but not limited to Child Safeguarding, Sexual Harassment, Whistleblowing, Anti-Fraud, and Conflict of Interest Policies.

Driver

Galz

GALZ is a voluntary membership-based association of LGBTI people in Zimbabwe. Its mandate is the promotion, representation and protection of rights and freedoms of LGBTI people as equal citizens.

The Driver / Logistician is responsible for providing safe and efficient logistical support required for project implementation in field sites. The Logistician will be responsible for the collection and submission of all accounting documentation on goods, services or cash received and delivered as well as consumption of materials on trips undertaken.

Ordinary level including Mathematics and English

Relationship management and report writing

Provide safe, secure and timely transport services for passengers and goods

Perform receptionist duties and any other assigned administrative tasks

Cleaning the office and premises to maintain a high level of hygiene in and around the field office

Record the use of the vehicle under the Logistician’s responsibility every time it is used by completing all details specified in the logbook and any other guidelines on the use of motor vehicles

Deliver the vehicle to the approved garage for service and maintenance

Carry out the required procedures (including completion of documentation and managing any accident involving a GALZ vehicle)

Any other duties as and when assigned by the Counsellor to respond to emerging LGBT+ needs and emergencies.

Our client in the logistics, transport and distribution industry is looking for a suitably qualified individual to fill in the post of Customs Clerk.

Diploma in Customs Legislation and Procedures

At least 5 Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics & English

At least 1 year experience as a Customs Clearing Clerk with traceable references

Computer literacy: Software MS Office, ZIMRA ASYCUDA

Classifying tariffs & advising Supervisor the appropriate duties

Liaising with Supervisor on any queries pertaining to the documents as and when necessary, loading authority

After quoting, request for Duty payment from client and once paid, authorization is given to Transporter to load cargo.

Receiving & recording documents from drivers, transporters, agents and Harare Operations Admin. Records are all done in the incoming Register

Keeping records of outstanding files in the outstanding files register

Compiling monthly report of process, outstanding and opened files.

Capturing data and registering Bills of Entry

After confirmation of correctness for submission into customs

Splitting and attaching documents for submission into customs

Handing over complete sets of documents to Supervisor

Mating of original documents with file documents within 24 hours after release

Entering details of documents on mail list memo

Archiving files as soon as cabinets are full

Communicating with stakeholders for update on release of trucks

Providing Accounts Department with ZIMRA statements

Liaising with ZIMRA on ASYCUDA status as and when necessary

Ensuring original customs cleared documents are in Harare for distribution to clients

Invoicing of other extra charges incurred after clearance at the border e.g., P.E, Storage and Permit charges

Sending back processed documents to the border for corrections, if any

Customs Clerk

Our client in the logistics, transport and distribution industry is looking for a suitably qualified individual to fill in the post of Customs Officer.

Diploma in Customs Clearing and Freight Forwarding / IATA Dangerous Goods Certificate / Awareness Certificate in ISO: 9001 standards

At least 3 years experience with traceable references

Knowledge of Clearing of consignments going in and out of the country

Attending to clearance at airport, container Depots and responding to queries raised by ZIMRA timely

Preparation of shipments to be tracked for the day and tracking them

Tracking pre-alerts through emails and telephone

Calculation of duties and tariff classification as required by clients

Framing bills of entries and registering them with ZIMRA

Submitting entries and all supporting documents to ZIMRA

Following up on shipments status and updating clients accordingly

Following up outstanding duty payments with clients

Liaising with customs clerks and invoicing clerks on accurate charging

Liaising with the Transport Department on the delivery and collection of shipments

Compiling Airfreight shipments daily update at the end of each day

Liaising with Airlines on exports bookings and cutting of Airway Bills

Attending to removals in bond from the border posts for consumption or warehousing

Confirming bank transfers with ZIMRA for receipting purposes

Customs Officer

We are looking for a suitably licensed Truck Driver who will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and other articles of trade to our customers. The driver will be tasked with driving a 30 Tonne, 12 gear semi-auto DAF XF truck that will be assigned to him and will be working closely with our team to plan routes and track deliveries under the supervision of the Transport Manager.

Must provide a certificate and police report

At least 3 years of work experience as a driver for haulage trucks with traceable references

Must have basic skills in vehicle maintenance

Ability to work with people of different national and cultural  backgrounds

Providing reliable and safe driving services to designated areas

Report mechanical problems to the Maintenance Technician

Truck Driver

A challenging and exciting opportunity has arisen within UNICEF Zimbabwe's Supply & Logistics Section, for a passionate and committed Supply & Logistics Manager (P-4). The Supply and Logistics Manager reports to the Deputy Representative Operations and is responsible for managing the supply chains of a medium to large-sized country office, and/or medium sized emergency response operation. The supply chain operations include planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, in country transport and distribution, as well as monitoring of supplies, services and construction works. The incumbent collaborates closely with programmes in defining supply interventions to meet programmatic needs and achieve results for children, and provides technical and advisory support to governments, national systems and partners on supply chain management.

An advanced university degree is required in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health or related social science field, or relevant first-level university degree (Bachelor's) in conjunction with a valid relevant professional certification is required.

A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience, at the national and international levels, in supply, logistics, procurement, contracting, administration and/or other directly-related technical fields is required.

Understanding of development and humanitarian work.

Health supply chain management experience an advantage.

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
